Zune HD hands-on look, impressions, tears of joy

Microsoft's Zune certainly has some fans, but it has failed to win significant mind or market share. That could change with the Zune HD, which CNET's Donald Bell managed to ogle for an hour, well ahead of its expected release this fall. The interesting stuff: "solid and sexy" feel, an OLED touch screen, support for 720p video, and an EQ. The really cool stuff: it collects information such as band photos, biographical information for the currently playing song, even if not purchased through the Zune Marketplace, and the Web browser is "smoking." For all of Donald's impressions, check his blog post--before you place your order for the iPod Touch.

Antuan Goodwin Something for those who take racing apps too seriously
Antuan Goodwin
Associate Editor, Car Tech
I'm not what you'd call a fan of chintzy plastic snap-on video game peripherals. I've got enough plastic guitars and controllers cluttering up my living room without taking up more space with snap-on shells that make my Wii Remote look like the world's shortest golf club. However, I take my racing sims seriously, even on the iPhone. Which is why the CTA Digital Steering Wheel for iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch is interesting to me. Read more
