Chevy Volt to pull 230 mpg in city

Oh, the Prius is impressive with its 48 mpg. And the Honda Civic Hybrid is noteworthy for its estimated 40 mpg. Well, you had better get ready for General Motors' entry into the market for gas-sipping cars. According to the company, the Chevy Volt will get an estimated 230 miles per gallon in city driving. That's right; we said General Motors (fresh out of bankruptcy court) and triple-digit mpg in the same sentence. Of course, your mileage will vary but even if it's half of the estimate, the company may just have a game changer on its hands.
