Auto-feed tweet distributed by Guy Kawasaki's Twitter account sends people to a link that installs a Trojan.

A day after its launch, Microsoft Security Essentials is no longer available from the company's site. The beta had been limited to 75,000 participants.

Dubbed the "homeless hacker" by the media, Adrian Lamo's unauthorized penetration testing led to his arrest, but to some his acts were more performance art than crime.

Known in development as Morro, Microsoft Security Essentials is Redmond's latest foray into security software. In this hands-on, check out what the program did well--and what needs work.
The activities of Mark Abene, aka "Phiber Optik," and his hacker friends made him a media darling and inspired a book, but now he spends his time protecting computer networks.
