Microsoft to EU: Antitrust this! Will remove IE from Win 7 in Europe
News.com reported Wednesday that Microsoft plans to strip Internet Explorer from sales of Windows 7 in Europe. Redmond plans to basically draw an artificial line in the sand and say, "Ooops, no IE in this Windows!"

With Justice Department scrutiny over the Google Books Settlement only the the leading edge of antitrust regulators' attention to Google, the company has launched a dog-and-pony show dedicated to combating the impression that more control is needed.
Microsoft, Mississippi settle over software pricing
Ina Fried at News.com reports that Microsoft has settled with the state of Mississippi over the price of Office and Windows. Microsoft will pay the state $40 million and provide $60 million in vouchers to consumers and local governments. Consumers and businesses that bought Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME will get $12 vouchers.
