Enterprising Etsy seller NilesZ repurposes old Atari cartridges into wallets. Yep, that's right. You just pop it open, and your stuff is inside. He estimates that each wallet--made almost entirely from the original cartridge--holds 6 to 8 credit cards and 15 to 20 bills. Read more
Blizzard alerts press to prep for StarCraft II beta
Blizzard Entertainment sent out an e-mail this weekend imploring media members to set up an account with Battle.net, Blizzard's multiplayer service, in anticipation of the StarCraft II beta program. StarCraft II, of course, is the sequel to StarCraft, the wildly successful, still-popular 1998 sci-fi strategy game for the PC. Blizzard has set a Q4 2009 release window for the upcoming sequel, and a summer beta program would seem to be on track with that time frame. Read more

Wacky Wii accessory: Wi-Bowl bowling ball
We missed this little item at E3 but apparently CTA Digital has a bowling ball accessory in the works. The thing actually splits in half; you stick your Wiimote inside, slip the wrist-strap on, and start knocking down some virtual pins. Read more

Take this one with a grain of salt, but gaming site 1UP is reporting that it's hearing a new Xbox 360 is in the works and is set to be released next fall in conjunction with the release of Project Natal. Read more

Game won't run!

I just installed a PC game (Spore) and now it won't run the main game. After it installed it just didn't do anything--the game has installed as it is listed in Programs and Features (Vista. Add/remove programs otherwise), but it shows no desktop icon and has nothing listed in the Start menu.  Read more
