	Scott Ard CNET.com Windows 7 upgrade options Windows 7 doesn't arrive on retail shelves or in new PCs until October, but Microsoft has announced two programs designed to give a head start to those who know they want the new operating system. The first--the Windows Upgrade Option--allows anyone who buys a new Vista PC to get a free copy of Windows 7 when it's released. The other program, which runs only through July 11, allows Windows XP and Vista owners to preorder Windows 7 at a steep discount.
