Reminder: Don't install an earlier version of Mac OS X than is supported by your hardware
David Morgenstern: Newbies to the Mac, especially those finding boxes of older Mac OS X discs in garage sales, flea markets and on eBay, may believe they can install the software on their Mac. Unless that software supersedes the original install versions, it is a very bad idea to click the install button. At the same time, Mac OS X Server may be the exception to the rule.
