If you've spent any time on the Web you've inevitably registered for various sites, signed up for e-mail accounts, and are probably doing your banking online. But how safe are your passwords? The problem is, a lot of people use the same passwords all the time. Needless to say, especially when banking and personal information are concerned, this can be a very real danger. If someone cracks your password, they'll have access to everything.
1Password, which just received a recent update, remembers all your passwords so you don't have to. Simply come up with a secure master password and then train 1Password to login to sites for you. It integrates seamlessly with Apple's Mac OS X Keychain and generates complex passwords for you making it impossible for anyone to crack your code. What's more, you can use 1Password's Go Fill option to automatically login to your favorite sites.
Also this week we have Little Snitch, the security program that alerts you when software on your machine is trying to phone home to the Internet. Our game this week is Kitty Spangles Solitaire, a beautifully designed solitaire game with 40 different variations of the classic card game.
