You can also use the Web site to make your own and print them--or you can use the app to "tag" regular bar codes that you see anywhere. The service displays New York City in a depiction that's modeled after maps in adventure video games from the 1980s. Even better, all the content in 8-Bit NYC is accurate, making it a viable mapping tool, as well. Read more | | Google Maps to add bike maps, directions Posted by Tom Krazit Google Maps this week offered up a new way for users to get around town: biking directions. The company says it was "the most requested addition to Google Maps." Google obtained much of its data from the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy in putting together the maps, and has detailed information on bike routes in 150 U.S. cities to start. Read more | |
